I am an artist currently living near Dollar, Clackmannanshire and having studied at Edinburgh University and the College of Art from 1983 - 1987, I have recently returned to full time work after taking a break to bring up my four children.
Living in the countryside the themes of my work tend to be influenced by the surrounding landscape, flora and fauna. I paint primarily in watercolours as it has a luminous quality hard to match in other mediums. My work also includes a number of printmaking techniques, in particular linocut and etching, I like to use these techniques for my illustration work and am currently working on a series of greeting cards featuring animals from ostriches and penguins to dogs and cats. I am also a member of the Dunfermline Printmakers workshop and regularly take part in Perthshire Open Studios.
